Project your pension pot and compare retirement income with your target.
Estimate how your current pension pot and future workplace contributions could compare with a retirement-income target, using your editable return, inflation and income assumptions.
The editable clean-visit example starts at age 35, retires at 68, and uses a £50,000 salary and pension pot with a comfortable retirement target. Annual employee/employer contributions are included in the pot projection. The State Pension amount is only a full-rate reference; replace it with your own forecast and start age. Tax, charges, salary growth, volatility and early-access bridge assets are not modelled.
· State Pension reference: 2026/27
This is a long-term scenario, not a personal pension forecast. Contributions and income targets are held in today’s pounds; the model converts your nominal return and inflation assumptions into a real return. It assumes contributions are paid at each year-end and excludes tax, fees, salary growth and investment volatility.
Estimated DC pension pot at age 68

First-year target gap
£15,053/yr
Capital gap at selected rate

Projected pot assumes 33 years of contributions and a £4,000 annual contribution in today’s money. The contribution solution is a mathematical scenario, not an affordability or tax-relief recommendation.
Under the target-spending path, the modeled pot reaches £0 during age 80.

This separate target-spending path withdraws the amount needed to reach the target (up to the remaining pot), rather than capping every year at the selected withdrawal-rate illustration. It then applies the assumed real return. This excludes tax and fees.
