* The first row is your current pot at your current age. Each row shows estimated pay and contributions for the year starting at that age; the pot is before those contributions are deposited at year-end.
This assumes you already participate in a qualifying UK workplace pension and applies selected rates to annualised qualifying earnings. It does not determine automatic-enrolment eligibility, opt-in rights, or whether your employer must contribute. Pay at or below £6,240 produces £0 in this band estimate; low-paid workers can still have joining or opt-in rights. Scheme earnings basis and pay-period rules can differ.
The 20% basic-rate relief effect is illustrative and is not added to the pension twice. Higher-rate or Scottish relief, payroll take-home pay, salary sacrifice/National Insurance and Annual Allowance limits are not assessed. The £60,000 standard Annual Allowance can be reduced by tapering or the £10,000 Money Purchase Annual Allowance. Scheme charges and investment volatility are excluded.
The projection assumes contributions continue to the selected age, with deposits modeled at year end. Salary growth, return and inflation are user-selected assumptions, not forecasts. A contribution break stops both employee and employer payments while the existing pot remains invested.
Form inputs are stored in the shareable page URL as you edit. Do not share the URL if you do not want to disclose these assumptions. Reviewed 1 October 2026; thresholds and contribution rules reflect 2026/27.
These official UK sources support the eligibility, contribution, opt-out and pension-limit explanations on this page. The projection is illustrative and does not confirm payroll or scheme entitlement.
